Koenders Makelaardij's course of action is of course in accordance with the current Personal Data Protection Act and also with the General Data Protection Regulation, which comes into force in May 2018. PROVISION OF DATA TO THE VBO 

A number of services involve the provision of data to the VBO. The VBO does the following with this data:  

  • Ensuring that all VBO estate agents have an up-to-date offer of properties sold and for sale offered by the other VBO estate agents.   
  • Ensuring that the current offers are posted on all affiliated offer sites. 
  • Maintaining a database so that appraisals and other valuations are possible and insights can be gained about developments in the housing market. The data in this database are kept indefinitely.  

  

PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING    

If you provide us with personal data by e-mail, telephone, web forms or reply cards, these will only be collected and used for the purpose for which you leave them. By providing your personal data, you consent to the processing of those data. You sell or rent your property: When you engage us as an estate agent to sell or rent your property, our estate agency records the following data:  

  • Your name, address and contact details such as your telephone number and e-mail address
  • The reason for selling or letting the property, e.g. moving house or change of job.
  • The date of registration of the property and the period that the property is or has been for sale or rent.
  • The description and characteristics of the property such as the asking price or rental price, the year of construction.
  • The surface area and layout, cadastral data and the value under the Valuation of Immovable Property Act (WOZ).
  • Visual material such as photos and videos of the property.  
  • The reason for any withdrawal of the mediation assignment.
  • If the property has been sold or let: the transaction details such as the selling or letting price and the transaction date.

You are looking for another property When you engage us as an estate agency to buy or rent a property or make a viewing at a property, our estate agency may  record:  

  • Your name, address and contact details such as your telephone number and e-mail address  
  • The search profile which includes your wishes regarding a property 
  • Data about your current object such as the purchase or rental price the reason for buying or renting,   
  • E.g. moving house or change of job  
  • Your age, income category and family composition  
  • If you have bought or rented a property: the transaction details such as the purchase or

You buy or rent a property from someone who uses our real estate agency.  When you have bought or rented a property and the seller or landlord has been assisted by our estate agency, our estate agency may record the following information:

  • Details of the property you bought or rented such as the address, characteristics of the property, the purchase or rental price and the transaction date  
  • The reason for buying or renting  
  • Your age and income category and family composition  
  • Details of your old property such as the purchase or rental price

WHAT DOES OUR ESTATE AGENCY USE THIS DATA FOR?  

You are selling or renting your property or you are looking for another property. Our estate agency uses your data to carry out the mediation assignment you have given us. Your data may also be used:  

  • To promote your property to the public, for example on Funda, on our estate agency's website or in sales brochures  
  • To perform valuations and other valuations (your property is only used as a reference property)   
  • To perform analyses and reports so that our agency can improve its services  
  • To send you information about our agency's products and services; if you wish to unsubscribe from this, please contact us.

 

You are looking for another property. When you engage our real estate agency to buy or rent a property or make a viewing at a property. Your details may also be used:  

  • To send information regarding other properties  
  • To carry out analyses and reports so that we can improve our services  
  • To draw up formal documents; Deed of sale, purchase agreement, (OTD) Order for services or Valuation report.  

 

You are buying or renting a property from someone who uses the services of our estate agency. Our estate agency uses your data to maintain contact with you, for example to send you the purchase agreement. Your data may also be used:  

  • For advisory purposes, when you have requested this  
  • For carrying out analyses and reports so that we can improve our services  
  • For the preparation of formal documents; Contract of sale, purchase agreement, (OTD) Service Order or Valuation Report 

 

SECURITY AND RETENTION PERIOD  

Our estate agency will ensure that your data is adequately secured so that your data is protected against unauthorised use, unauthorised access, modification and unlawful destruction. Your data will be kept for as long as necessary for the purposes indicated above or to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations and to resolve any disputes.  

  

INSPECTION, CORRECTION AND DELETION  

Address requests for inspection, correction or deletion of data to our brokerage office, stating your name and address. In principle, our brokerage office will respond to a request for inspection or correction within four weeks. In the event of a deletion request, our estate agency will delete the personal data in question as soon as possible, unless and insofar as the law requires us to retain the personal data in question or there are (other) pressing reasons that oppose deletion resist.
